I'm not too sure about leasing a vehicle, sorry, I've only ever bought mine. I live in a fairly central location with a permit and I've never had issues with finding a park, but that might be the specific area I live, I'm not sure. Some of the central apartment building blocks have car parking with them, but often it's on street parking and you need to buy a parking permit (usually £60.00/year). For your budget you could get a very decent one bedroom in a nice area close to town. Also fairly heartless, in that it's a big set of apartment blocks and they all look the same. I've been into one of the studio flats in the Dandara Stoneywood development, and they're nice, clean and modern, but quite small for the cost. I was hoping to recreationally travel around Scotland a bit as well so was thinking a car would come in handy but any suggestions/recommendations on how to best tackle this would be great.

Is it easy/cheap to find a public parking spot in the city for long-term use? Read that thr parking is pretty horrifc in the city.Ĭar: As it will only be a secondment over a couple years I have been looking into getting a (used) leased vehicle to tide me over the duration. Parking: It looks like most city apartments don't come with a parking space.

Stoneywood)? I've read from other threads that Dandara is relatively pricey for what you get so any other recommendations would be much appreciated 🙂 Budget is around £800/month. I'll be moving from Asia so have been doing a bit of research in preparation for the move and was wondering if you had any general suggestions/recommendations along with thoughts on some of the below questions Īccommodation: I've been looking at one bedroom apartments to rent and have come across those 'Built for Renters' studio/one bedroom apartments offered by Dandara Living (Schoolhill and Stoneywood) and was wondering what everyone's opinion/experiences with those setups have been? Is it inconvenient living outside the city centre (i.e. I'm in my late twenties and will be moving over to Aderdeen shortly for a couple years on a work secondment.
